Western Hockey Showcase

Players will be given the opportunity to compete against the top skaters
in North America and showcase their talents in front of Scouts from the
Western Hockey League (WHL), prior to the 2010-2011 hockey season
and in preparation for the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft. WHL representatives
will be on hand to answer any questions throughout the weekend about any
further details on the WHL and Major Junior hockey
Players will play with the “best-of-the-best” from all over North America
- Players will become aware of the expectations of playing at a high level
- Players and parents will receive an information seminar on the Western Hockey League. WHL topics that will be introduced include:
- High school transfers/graduation while playing in the WHL
- WHL education standards and policies
- WHL Scholarship Program for graduate players
- Life in the WHL
- WHL player development
